Beginning with our core datasets, we analyze the trends for the CPI, the S&P 500, and the W-30 Index. While CPI has stabilized over the past several quarters, revenue growth YoY of the S&P 500 and W-30 has started to rebound, albeit slowly.
In 2024-Q3, companies continued to improve their customer experience and close gaps to better meet expectations. The current gap nearly matches the best performance period (2022-Q1) since the pandemic started.
The top-half of the W-30 Index generated more pricing power, grew revenue faster, and improved gross margins more. This report details how much in each area, and shows trends by industry and business framework.
Counterintuitively, this is happening while Net Promoter Scores® are decreasing. Average NPS of the W-30 is at its lowest since the start of 2020.

Methodology
To generate the rankings, we polled 6,511 customers online between September 17, 2024 and September 27, 2024, to measure their expectations against each company’s performance. Consumers are screened to determine their most recent customer status by company and responses are graded based on their data quality.
